For now! They will be shipping to dealers soon hopefully! I have a friend that has one and that is how I knew what I would be getting. They are a great bunch of people and will do everything they can to ensure your satisfaction! Mine was shipped yesterday, 17 weeks after I ordered and paid for it, they are a fairly new company just getting started. They are taking care ofeveryone that preordered and new orders before shipping to dealers.

The Pheonix actually is a knockoff of Onieda in a way. It's roots are an Onieda design that was made without cams. The original company came upon hard times and was later reopened by the current owner. The design was not bought as part of the company or something like that, leaving it open.
It was picked up and made by a company called Discovery Bowhunting which made the Firebrand line of two bows, the Discovery (the bow we're talking about) and the Intensity which was longer tip to tip. I bought one of the Intensity bows from them and later had it replaced under warrantee with the third design called the Colorado. They went under from lack of quality and poor customer support. R.I.P.!!!
Finally, we get to the Monster Bow folks. I've talked with these guys since way back and they're both good people! Originally they were Onieda fans (rabidly!). Mikie Day went on to buy a Firebrand and him and Hunting Hippie took the design to it's limit, modifying it like crazy. Thus... The Pheonix Was Born!
The new, current bow is so modified from the original design as to be a nearly new bow, except it keeps the lever limb design.
My Intensity and Colorado were both very similar in that they were extremely smooth to draw and quiet beyond anything else you've heard. The letoff could be adjusted to whatever you desired including locked over like the Synergy thread that's currently going on. 100% letoff = the limbs will not return the string forward at all. They lock back! 99% letoff is pretty cool when you can hold the bow back with ONE FINGER for a looooong time! Kind of hard to shoot well with that much letoff though. 80% works much better with a cleaner release. The wall on these bows is rock solid too. They're simple and easy to work on not needing any bow press. Work on it anywhere including the tree stand if it comes down to that. They really are a joy to shoot. I'd personally love to try out one of the new Pheonix's! With what these guys have done to the bow, I know it'd be nice! I wouldn't hesitate to buy one sight unseen too having owned the other designs. I bought my current Storm Elite 36 sight unseen also, but that was after spending hours on the phone with it's former Marine designer... we got along famously! Another fantastic, smooth and quiet bow. Great for hunting!
Here's a couple of pics. First one is my Colorado. Next two are the new Pheonix. Oops! My bow is now the middle one.Last edited by Tejas Raz; 07-26-2007, 10:35 PM.

To add some additional background; The owners/designers started out "hotrodding" old Oneida Stealth bows. Through their homework and innovations, they came up with ways to improve on the Oneida line. Although they went to the current owner of Oneida with their upgrades, the current owner didn't accept them. They then took their entrepenureal(sic) talents and designed the Monsters.
I know Mikie Day from the old Oneida days and still keep in touch breifly on the Net. Mike and Bob(one other owner) make my bowstrings for my Oneidas. They have 100% dedication to their product and it has been gaining in popularity.
I still am a staff shooter for Oneida, but think the Monsters are definately a quality product. I missed my chance to shoot one last weekend due to last minute change in plans.
Good shooting!
Hugh
