    2011 Bowtech Assassin comments

Any comments from you Bowtech guys & gals.. I am looking at purchasing this bow for my Christmas. This will be my first new bow ever and it is in my price range that I was looking to spend on a good used bow.. I am planning on making the call around noon today so any advice would be appreciated. I shot a Diamond rapture this week and loved the way it felt, I am currently shooting a 1995 PSE Lightning Flight II, and I could not believe the difference in bows, the let off, the weight, balance.. WOW.. I have been missing out on the new style of bows.. (or atleast new style for me) Should I hold off and wait till after the new year to look for better deals on 2010 / 09 models? or should I go ahead and get it (I will still have 3 good weeks of hunting this season with it)

    Thanks in advance

I like my Bowtech AirRaid best. I have owned the 82ND Airborne and the Admiral and this AirRaid is better than both. I say get a new to you model for less money. There are sure to be plenty of the new ones for sell for much less next summer. Just my .02!!! Good luck.

I currently shoot a mathews but for years shot bowtech. They are all pretty much great bows, you would be happy with the upgrade.

I shot one. One word: awesome! Unless I find a smoking deal on a used destroyer/elite judge or gt500(and I mean smoking) I'll own one when I get income tax return. Good luck

Alright.. I got the go ahead to order one.. but know I am concerned with the small ata a little less than 31", and brace height of 7".... I am fairly new to the sport and I seen where I can get a 2010 Alpine Nitrous that is a little over 33" ata and has BH of 7.25.. 100$ more... I can afford that.... I am 6'2 and weigh 215, don't hunt a lot of trees, I will be in pop-ups, ground blinds and tri-pods. I don't know if I need such a short bow... I know I know I need to shoot one first but I have about 3 weeks of hunting with my new bow if I order tomorrow... decisions

i shot one a couple weeks ago at triple edge archery. felt okay to me but this was after i shot an elite judge. prolly would have been better to shoot it before the judge!

was not blown away but that is a good price for a complete set up

If you buy used I would recommend taking a look at the Elite lineup. It offers a lifetime transferable warranty for the Elite bows. They are great quality bows and you can find good price deals on 08, 09 and even this yr models. I upgraded from a diamond rock (made by Bowtech) and the Elite to me is so much smoother than the rock. Of course the rock is a single cam versus the dual cam Elite I have. I have no experience with the dual cam bowtechs to offer much advice. Good luck.
