If you look under your truck on both sides you will see two bars runnin front to back. Those are your torsion bars. Follow them till you get to a crossmember and on either side there is a bolt running up into your torsion key. The farther you twist it in the higher your truck gets. If you did an aftermarket torsion key leveling kit it will raise 2 to 3 inches. If not you will only get an inch or so. Make sure you jack up the front end before you start trying to lift it. If not all the weight from your front end is resting on those threads your turnin. And if u lift it the most it can go your ride is gonna be terrible. Anymore questions pm me.

Yea, if you crank them up it will ride like a boat.

I've got a 99 silverado z71 ext cab, with a 3 in lift and torsion keys turned up. And yup- it rides like poo.. I mean it's not the worst I've been in but.. I've been kinda wantin to back the keys down a lil bit..

They answered it, crank them up and its gonna ride like the Texas Giant, AKA like "POO" Im not a big body life guy but for $100 you can go for 3"s and if you raise the bumpers they look pretty good. I use them simply because it makes working on my rigs easier by adding more clearance.
