Question on attaching skull to a plaque

I having my skull done by one person and a table pedestal done by another and am curious as to the best way to attach the two to eachother. Before with wall plaques I have filled the brain cavity with plaster and screwed into that from the plaque, but I figured there has got to be a better way.

I have used a long toggle bolt like you use to hang stuff from a drywall ceiling. the toggle part goes through the hole where the spinal column goes into the skull.
