    Badboy Buggies

I've been thinking about getting one for quite awhile. Ive test driven one and think they are great, no scent or sound. I'm wanting to know pros and cons from people that have had one or know someone that does. Thanks for the advice.

I dont know how much they are but a jacked up golf cart just wont cut it on our ranch. It seems to me if you're gonna buy an atv get you a big 4 wheeler with a dump bed or upgrade to the mule/ranger style atv's. I think you'd be much more happy with a machine not charged batteries.

Ive had a big 4wheeler before, they just announce your arrival and get fumes all over you. I now have a jacked up cart, it is a little slow up hill, especially loaded with 3 men.[1 extra large] The BadBoy seems to have quite a bit more power.JMO.

I own one that I will have had for two years next month. I had to replace the forward/reverse solenoid about 3 months ago. Even though it was not in warranty anymore the service guy sent it to me free. He told me the old one must have got wet. We don't drive through any deep water but will go through puddles but I think it was from washing the battery compartment. They show going through water on their website if I remember right.

Would I buy again, no, not without a better warranty. I just treat mine like I would a electric golf cart and I'll drive it as long as it lasts. I do like mine and I like the concept. A vehicle of this type should not be advertised like they do and should have a minimum 3 year warranty IMO, especially for what it cost.

PM Gr5 and get his take on them. He owns one also.

I have a BBB. I've put a lot of sight seeing and work miles on it and it has served me well. I do wish it had a box bed on it but I understand you can custom order. Of course then you loose the back seat and can only carry 2 people. I've had people complain that it rides really rough in the back and they don't like riding backwards. Other than that, I love it. I finally found a spot a few weeks ago that I had problems taking it. Had to back up and get a running start to get up a REAL steep hill with loose rock on it. It's too light in the front end but this is the first time I've had a problem and I've had this thing in some pretty scary places. As far as battery life. If you pay attention the batteries will never be a problem. The first 10 times charging (when it's new) they recommend that you only run them down half way and then give them a full charge. That's a pain in the butt but after that I easily get a full day of running around (and that's all day on the go) Depending on the terrain (steep climbing as opposed to flat going) I get anywhere from 1 to 4 days on a charge. It takes all night (8-10 hours) to get a complete charge. The best thing about the BBB is no noise. I love that.

I've never had any electrical or battery problems. I've been through water way up over the wheels and had no problem. The only water related problem I have had is when I opened the battery compartment and washed the batteries off I couldn't get the buggy to turn on. I called and they said if the contacts got really wet it wouldn't start. They also said it has been a problem and the new ones have a cover over them.

The brakes could work better. I sometimes get a little nervouse going down real steep hills (and we have a lot of those) I finalyy learned how to adjust to them and I get along pretty good.

Would I buy another..you bet! I love my buggy!

For that price or maybe even cheaper, you could buy a used small 4 cylinder 4x4 truck and rig it out to go off-road. You'll have a truck bed, it's still quiet, small, and you won't have to worry about charging it all the time.

I have only ever ridden in one, Gr5's, and it was awesome. Quiet is mandatory for my use but just as importantly, it was un-stoppable. We drove it all night for two nights and I can not remember it being charged in between.

If you have a lifted cart already I would just upgrade your motor or speed modulator. Instead of spending all of that money on the BBB, or tell the third person to buy one and keep chugging along in your cart. www.buggiesunlimited.com The BBB is 4 wheel drive but it is alot heavier than a regular cart also.
