I'd prefer a 1hr. fire rating but still a good price. I need another safe.

Same here. I've always considered the fire rating a decent gage as to the quality of the safe. One with 30 minutes fire protection is the least you're likely to see. I would prefer a 60 minute, or 90+ minutes of fire protection, and I would like one that holds at least 3 dozen long guns.

3 dozen guns isn't a safe, that's a walk in vault! I only get about 16 guns in a 24 gun safe, and that's really crammed in there. They should advertise it as 24 space and not 24 guns, unless they're all Red Ryders.

Since I'm 99% a bow hunter I don't have many rifles. 5 now and 2 shot guns. We been wanting a safe for important papers and other things to be locked up. More worried about break ins. We live in a very good area but you never know. Also once we have kids I don't want them to get ahold of them. Right now I have them under beds and behind doors.

After not having a safe and getting robbed of $18500.00 worth of guns and bows i got a Liberty safe. Didn't think I needed a 35 gun safe,"WRONG"! Get a bigger safe than you think you need. My wife also has her things in there and a lot of our paperwork as well.
If you don't have a safe, get one. I still haven't and will not be able to replace the one of a kind items I had.
The only draw back is moving one, I just did and it took 2 months to get my back back in shape!!

I got a 90min 1400 safe from acsafes.com but mine is a 53 gun but I think the 24 gun were very similar in price even with the higher ratings. Not to mention they are now a sponsor.

Thanks for the input. Good looking safe. Bought it and it will be here Friday. They were sold out at both locations down here. They still honored the price.

If you want more fire protection just add more layers of sheetrock(firewall) to the inside liner.

You missed out on the Cannon they had on Black Friday. The only reason I got up. It was a 32 gun 30 min for 699 marked down from 1000.
30 min safes are fine. Houses will burn hot for a while but its the center of the house where the roof and all colapses in that burns the hottest. Place the safe on a exterior corner or wall and it won't burn hot there for long and if it colapses it will most likly push it out of the house. Mine is going in the bedroom in the far corner of the house. When we start a new build in a few yrs I will invest in a 2 hour bigger safe but I will mostlikely build it into a closet.
Its a good buy Brandon. I mainly got mine for the 20+ guns I have and to give the wife a place to keep here jewlery when we are away from the house.
