What do you do if you spook deer up on the way to the stand

I've heard that you "mimic" natural sounds. i.e. if there are cows on the place- moo, if there are hogs- grunt, carry a squirrel call, etc.

We scare more deer than we know IMO. Unless they really knows what spooked them you should be fine.

I had 2 doe at 15 yards last night & couldn't hold back a cough. They both scattered about 5 yards & were back eating hand corn within 30 seconds.

oh yeah, let a sneaze sneak in omg, they will act like a 747 came through.. i had one sneak on me and i cleared the area... 15 mins later, back to normal...

It's certainly not what you want, but stay. Deer snort/blow at all kinds of things, not just humans. A few minutes of peace and quiet and you're back in business. I often hunt from a hilltop and can view reactions of deer several hundred yard apart. MOST of the time, they pay little attention to other deer blowing if they're a good ways off and just go about their own business. Which may include heading your way in a few minutes.

I push deer every time I go to the stand.I blow at them with the thought that they may think it's another deer.They usually come back in.
