40mm or 50mm?

I have a couple of Leupolds w/ 50mm objective, and love them. There is only 3mm difference between the medium mounts I have on my 40mm scopes and the high mounts on my 50mm, so no noticable difference to me. I'm certainly not "straining my neck in the nosebleed section" to make up 3mm.

IMHO-Most high end optics are pretty much equal all things being considered. Top quality glass will give you more hunting minutes early and more minutes late. Because of its ability to gather and transmit available light. Buy the very best glass you can afford. Ed
