    Anyone had any success with this sharpener? Looking at upgrading from the stone...

    Try this one. Good price and i can shave with any knife i own. Plus I never will put something like that against my knifes. I lit to much pressure or heat can kill a blade.

      Havnt heard good things. I have a sharpener from "chipping away" in canada and it is great.

        Which one? Looks like they have a few options on their site. They are proud of their belt sharpener!

          That one that is 255.00 is the one Rubydog on here has and he swears by it. he says it is the best sharpener in the world.

              If you're wanting to use a knife sharpening system that is machine operated then put a set of these honing wheels on to a bench grinder.

              I use these to get a super sharp edge on my leather working tools and knives.
              Word of caution though, any machine that creates friction can remove the heat treatment from the blade. So use plenty of jewelers rouge and never let the blade heat up.
