Scope adjustement knobs are BACKWARDS... anyone else experience that?

I went to the range yesterday to sight in a muzzleloader. Started at 50 yards. first couple shots were 4" right and a little high.

So... 4 clicks per inch at 100 = 8 clicks per inch at 50. 4" x 8 clicks... I rotated 32 clicks to the left. It did not even hit paper??? Another shot ... no dice. O.k. rotate 32 clicks back to the right. It grouped with the original 2. high and left.

So... Not sure how or why... but I deduced that the windage knob was bass ackwards.

I rotated just the opposite of the knobs and got the gun shooting good to a 100 yards.

At first I figured it was an Aggie made scope. ... just kidding folks... don't hang me.

Has anyone had that happen? I thought it was real strange.

Then you R and L on top U and D on side still jacked up. Right?

Set the rifle up on sand bag's (a lead sled is better), fire a shot that you are comfortable with, look through the scope while adjusting the crosshair's to the bullet hole. You always move the crosshairs to the impact of the bullet.

I think the R&L are on the side & U&D on top... but yes, they are still backwards.

I thought about that afterwards. But really didn't think I would have that much trouble. LOL

I never even look at the arrow's on the turret's due to remembering "does that arrow move the crosshair to the right or the bullet impact to the right"?. LOL

Dang... it's too early to be thinking that hard

Next time I sight in a scope... think I will use the method you described earlier.

Your scope is mounted bass ackwards. Rotate it and you'll be ready to go

naah... the turrets are in the right locations

my other scopes say to rotate "X" direction for left. This scope says to go the other direction.

Maybe it was meant for a left handed rifle ???
