    It's on in Kent county

Life has gotten in the way of me going after deer so far this year. Hunted am and pm yesterday. Bucks, some we had never seen before were running does everywhere. Full moon and giving a four year old a pass kept arrows from flying. If you are hunting the panhandle, I would say the next ten days will be the best. Good luck to all of you!

I used to hunt 8 miles south of Spur in northern Kent County and we had some great deer on the ranch. Several 160-180 class bucks were spotted but tough to hunt. I recall the rut being around Thanksgiving as well. Good country. Good luck!

Thanks TTH for the report. We are in the SE corner of Kent and in Stonewall County also, but last weekend was a bust. this cold weather should really help.

Big dudes were definitely guarding their chosen girlfriends very tight. Litle dudes were busy trying to bust doe fawn combos. When big dudes get done with round one, or two they should be on the move. I love this time of year.

That's about what we've been seeing up in Motley Co. Sounds like it's going to be a great weekend. Just be sure to bring your warm panties.

I hope the deer will still be out and about come Friday morning. That will be my first crack at them. Good luck to everyone out there. With today being my absolute favorite hunting day of the year, I must say that work STINKS!!!!!

I just spoke to my dad who is sitting in a stand and can see alot of country in the SE corner of Kent and is currently watching three bucks run three seperate does and watched a 8 point mount a doe about fifty yards away. So yeah I think it should be a good weekend!

You boys keep me posted. Life is in the way again for a few days. I can't wait to be back there. I wish it wasn't a three hour drive.
