What are the deer doing around Quanah?

Heading up Wednesday for the weekend. Any info on what they are doing? Rut going, about to wind up or any other signs?

No movement last weekend> Full moon and wind was a killer, I hunt just inside Childress County line.

I was up there the last 3 days and it was as slow as I have seen. Saying that I did see a nice 8 point with a doe in the middle of nowhere (not a even a bush within 1/2 mile) on Sunday about 10am...

Ha Ha! Very Funny! I have some nice video of 2 good bucks so I at least have proof of seeing them. Dad couldn't believe how dumb I was after seeing the video. I have sat there the last 3 years waiting on a nice buck & had him then I just watched him! How dumb!!!!

Don't feel bad. I've been passing on bucks all season, waiting for something to thrill me. As a result i have not gotten a deer yet........

They were really moving around good, especially yesterday. The bucks are roaming heavily, lots of action. I saw several shooters but only two came within range. I am still being extremely selective, quite a few to choose from that will top 150. I will be going back Sunday after Thanksgiving to hunt a couple of days.
                  Good luck

I didn't see much activity this past weekend on my place in Wilbarger county but the game warden told me on Friday the rut is really starting to kick in up there.

I was in Kirkland this weekend. Very slow. Morning hunts were better but full moon was keeping them up all night. Only immature bucks chasing.

Please check my thread about the bird dog needing to get home.

Nobody on our place saw a shooter this past weekend. They said it was slow. There were 5 guys up there.
