As you can tell by my status I am new to here. I shot my first bow ever in January of this year. So after months of practice I decided it was time to try to hunt. I went out yesterday morning looking for a buck but none came in the area of my ground blind. Lesson one I learned when hunting in the morning make sure you eat something so your stomach growls don't scare off the deer. Hinting is alot easier 100 yards away. So that afternoon I go back to my ground blind, working on four hours sleep from the night before, it was pretty warm in there and the next thing I know I fall asleep. When I wake up there is a herd of black angus around my blind and one standing broad side 10 yards away in front of my feeder. I thought that my day was over, but thought steak may be good for supper. Then 2 does come up and start feeding, my only thought was I wish that high dollar steak will get out of my way so I can take a shot. Finally after about 20 minutes the steak moves enough to give me a prefect shot on one of the does. I draw my bow and hit the doe with a perfect double lung shot. This was the best kill of my life. Can't wait for the next one
