Has anyone taken an at&t GoPhone w/ a QWERTY keyboard and used it as a backup for your regular phone? Does the messaging (texting) work?

Yeah I got my son one, it texted but it was high as a cat's back..the little cheap phone actually has better reception than our "better" contract phones

I was just wanting to swap out the SIM card when I go into questionable situiations when it is possible, or at least likely, that it'll get wet, muddy, etc.

Cool. I'd hate to trash my good phone when I could've just gotten an inexpensive one and used it for the weekends.
