Well I posted yesterday that the rancher was corraling cattle with a helicopter and was fortunate enough to get a ride for about two hours and it was great! But I did not have much faith that it would be a eventful evening with the activity through the day but while on stand that morning when the helicopter was flying the deer I would see running were all headed to the river so my plan was to hunt a tripod that I had moved down there the week before. As I sat and posted my story about the helicopter I could hear a deer just getting after a tree behind me but was reluctant to look because I was afraid he would bust me. Well a few moments later it was one of those moments you hear about I lifted my binoculars and instantly new that's what I had been looking for so as he eased down the tree line I stopped him and was able to get a good shot! Now it was not with my bow but it's my best to date a 10 point that went 160 3/8! The only negative was that I am here by my self and my dad and uncle were not hear to celebrate oh well I'm sure will drink one in the near future! I know no pics it didn't happen I have not had any luck texting pics but I will try sending them if someone wants to post them.

Thanks guys I will get some better pics up when I get home. It kinda sucked not having anybody to hang with and stare at my buck so I went to the camp down the road and they took me in like was one of there own! I guess that's the one thing we all have in common!Comment
