He is calling the GW now. Looks like next weekend I will be putting my 3d target in the brush by the rd and doing a a little night hunting myself! scumbags!!!!

Man that sux but let the GW handle this. You don't need the problems involved with taking matters into your own hands. Good luck catching them.

Get some reflective tape and cut out small circles to stick in the eyes on the decoy. Have the decoy facing the road so when the poachers spotlight, they'll get that deer in the headlight look.

This just goes to show how stupid these people really are, why would you leave them on the rd in front of the gate when there is brush all around, makes me think it was a one time thing because if I was going to come back somewhere I def would not leave evidence out in the open. You never know though

At least they took the meat and didn't just take the heads.

Those "long lease" hunters can be a PITA. I was on a lease near Cotulla that had 1.5 miles of low/no fence highway frontage on Tx 97. We had a 200-ac CRP field along the road and a high blind that overlooked the field and road. Can't tell you how many times folks would slow down and look us over--possibly innocently, as I do the same thing myself. On one occasion, they stopped and shot a small 8 which ran toward the high blind. My buddy killed it and you should have seen them leave in a rush. GW knew the truck, but couldn't prove anything--he called them the "Fowlerton Outlaws." Said they'd go and corn the county dirt roads and then "hunt" them. Seems to me it wouldn't be that hard to catch/apprehend them if they were that stupid.

Hope they get caught. We have a couple of stands on our lease that are direct access from the main road and have trouble with poachers as well. It's a thorn we would love to remove.

Ditto! I wouldn't look for them back any time soon. However, stupid is as stupid does, you might get a different bunch.
