    Investment question

I am not in to these get rich quick schemes but i have seen something lately that really has me thinking.

I am not sure if yall have heard of buying into the Iraqi Dinar money or not but thats what I am talking about. It just sounds way to good to be true. What it is for those who dont know what I am talking about but right now a new government has been established in Iraq and their currency is suopposed to be set and the exchange rate set. Supposedly that is supposed to happen soon and when it does 1 dollar of Dinar is going to be equal to $.95-$3.95 US. And before it happens you can buy 150,000 in dinar for around $280 US.

I just need yall to tell me how dumb this really is and that I need to save my money. Thanks guys!!

"Dishones money dwindles, but he who gathers his wealth little by little makes it grow." Pr 13:11

"He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty." Pr 28: 19

Don't know if you are a man of faith or not, but in any event there is great wisdom to be had in Proverbs. I would ask myself is this a gather of wealth gradually and through effort, or is it chasing a fantasy.

                  If it sounds too good......

I bought some a couple years ago as a longshot. My opinion is that it is not a scam. It is new Iraqi currency that may or may not ever increase in value. There is only 3 or 4 times in the history of civilization where this opportunity has come up. Just look at what the Kuwait currency did before and after the Gulf War. If Iraq ever gets on its feet their currency value will increase, but it may take several generations...who knows. I wouldnt put in any more than you are willing to lose. Its a total longshot that could pay off huge.
Currencys are traded everyday on the Forex, the Iraq Dinar has yet to be recognized on the exchange yet, but it is being traded and used in Iraq excluvisely.

I have a shoe box full of 10,000 dinar bills. When I got back from Iraq I gave away a bunch as souvenirs. I think I paid about 200 for it. As an investment, a roll of toilet paper will have a higher ROI than the dinar ever will. But if it will make you feel better I can send you one, so you don't feel like you missed out.
