    2010 Segment "B"

Well here we go. I thought I would get up here early to check in. What I found out was that I'm getting slow in my old age. When I arrived I found about 10 hunters eagerly awaiting the opportunity to sign in and get there stands hung for this weekends hunt. Even a couple tbh'ers beat me to the sign in.
On the way to the spot I wanted to set up I had a sticker sighting. always a good sign at the beginning of any hunt.

I just got my home for the next few days set up.Really was thinking I wanted to get up higher then 20' this time but found if I did limbs would get in my way. I found a spot with a couple rubs and scrapes that looked as if they might have been visited recently.
Here's a shot of the millennium locked on and ready to go

And of course a couple views from up in the trees

This is really a great time to be in the woods. The leaves are changing and the colors are truly breath taking. I'm going to try to up date as often as I can. But I'll be in the stand from dark to dark so I'm sure my phones battery life will dictate how much I can post. Hopefully some of the other hag hunters will be able to chime in and keep this towards the top for the next couple days.

Thanks Keith. I'm thinking it's going to be a great hunt. I'm hearing reports
of a couple bucks chasing out here.

Well I had to go to my third spot in Sandy. Its crowded with the most hunters. The other two have about twenty each. Saw a doe at noon feed in front of me for awhile.. Then a big bodies spike at thirty yards on the prowl. With the full moon, midday is going to be good.

Good luck to all! I too will be in the stand all day and even in Grayson county, just not a hag. Oh well it will still be better than working.

I believe your correct Kurt. I'm still out here just driving around and seeing deer up and moving around. I'm not completely sold on my choice of stand placement, but it's close enough that if I am blessed with a big ole' fat doe I'll be able to get her out by myself.

Go home and STOP out thinking yourself. Driving around and hanging out all day is doing nothing more than affecting your confidence. Go home, get a good supper, go to bed early and get up and go hunt your back side off!!!

Have some faith in your abilities and skills, and get on with it. You are killing me man!!

                              Lol... Hi Glenn!
I think your not understanding the reason I'm out here right now. I'm sitting in front of a few hundred geese that have just flown in. I have a huge white swan on my left. And a grey heron in front of me on my right that is hunting for minnows.
Hagerman has meant a awful lot to me over the years. This is one of the few places that I can excape from the junk going on and get closer to God. So see I am home
