    New Bow Help?

O.K. everyone hears my question! What are some bow ideas for $600-$800 dollars approximately, ready to shoot/hunt! I know what some of you will say "shoot a bunch and let the bow pick you" or "there is a nice setup in the classifieds"! But to be honest I am new to all of this and I want the most bang for my buck, and I'm not much on having to tinker with something all the time! I would like something that I can shoot targets for about a year and be ready next bow season! A few things I do know, I have shot a couple of Bear, Bowtech, and Diamond Bows and really like all of them, but leaning towards Bear or Bowtech! So with that said which one of those provides me with the best product and support(warranty)! Oh, and where should I buy? I live 3 minutes from Cinnamon Creek Ranch, great guys there and very knowledgeable, but not sure about price? Thanks you for your opinion in advance!! God Bless!@!

If I said something stupid, remember I'm new to this stuff! But feel free to point it out or make fun!!

I've only shot Mathews for several years now so I can't speak from experience, but the Bear looks very attractive to me, especially for the price. As far as warranty, I think all the manufacturers will back they're product. The real question is about the dealer.

Southpaw my son has the Bear Apprentice which he loves, and I must say I do to, but just a little small! I was hoping to find out about the dealer and possible if someone has shot the new Bowtech Assasin! Thanks for the info.

I really like my Bear bow but I haven't shot any other newer ones either. I don't think you could go wrong with one. Might look on Ebay to get an idea on pricing.

Go to CCR and shoot the bows they have, set to your draw and weight, and choose which one you like the best and let CCR set everything up for you. It may cost a little more up front, but in the long run it will be well worth the money. You might find everything cheaper somewhere else, but do they have the knowledge to set everything up right as CCR does? Everything will be right and if you have any problems in the future, you will know where to go to. After all, you arfe new to the sport and need the right advice to get started on the right track. Let the guys at CCR work with you and you will enjoy the sport from minute one and will enjoy it for a long time to come.

Newbie myself, but I went through the same thought process. I started looking last spring, but didn't sell a pistol (to finance my bow) until late August.
A long-time bowhunter friend has always used Mathews and suggested buying either a used Switchback XT or a new Mission. I chose the used SB XT primarily because from looking around it appeared that everyone agreed that Mathews hit a homerun with the SB XT and the value stayed pretty constant. (I knew I could get my money back if archery disappointed me.)
Got my fully tricked out SB XT the first week of September. Started taking 20 or so practice shots a day. Had my first Robin Hood within a week. I've killed three hogs and a nice 8 point so far this year with my bow.
Hitting the woods again this weekend to add to my kill count.
I can't recommend the SB XT high enough.

Don't think CCR has one in yet but I may be heading that way tomorrow with a

Strother Valor (retail $599) I outrigged mine as cheaply as I could to show folks they don't have to spend an trainload to have a great hunting setup.

For hunting it is also great as it has 8.25 BH shooting upper 320's. Did I say 8.25 BH!

do your homework. just like your doing now. the web has all the info you need to scout $ and product info. never hurts to keep the retailer in line. remember though to weigh the value you receive from those pro shops like CCR and is it worth the difference. i like CCR also but saved over $500 outfitting my new baby

Mission Eliminator II fully decked out somewhere around $750+/-. My dad has one and it is great for the money.

The Mission Voyager is almost like the Mathews Reezen
