Cows keep knocking over my TC

My camera is knock off, kicked, licked and all but destroyed from wherever I mount it because of dang cows. I remember some guys on here building some pretty cool mounts for them in the DIY section but I ran a search and did not turn up much.

Any suggestions for a solution??? Would prefer for the camera to be fully enclosed. I am pretty handy with a welder and would like to build something. Whatcha got?

      Just keep buying more TC's!

I kid. I have never seen one, but I bet you could build a box out of, say, 1/8" plate that the camera sits recessed into where the camera either fits snug into the box or bolts to it, then the whole box straps to a tree or post.

arrow one! sure would make some good sausage! and can you imagine that backstrap? lol I kid, I kid... I had the same problem, and eventually they stopped... but I'd say one of those boxes that keep out thieves and the like would probably do the trick... you could try to mimic one of those

go to a commercial eletrical place and find a pulloff eletrical meter box, they are perfect and you can bolt them on...

I had same problem. Solution was simple. I just put a small brush pile on the ground in front of camera. Problem solved.

I got a For Sale Sign for a friend of mine that's a realtor. The sign frame is made out of angle iron. I repainted the sign in a camo pattern and mounted my camera to it. To make it even stronger so it would stand up to cows and pigs, I drove a T-post at each end and secured the sign. My TC has been in the same location for two years and I'm covered up with hogs and cows and had no problems.

We have ours mounted on cross ties or 6X6 posts cemented and locked in a fabricated box. Dual purpose....protection from cows and thieves!

I feel your pain too. This was the worst week yet. I went out to fill feeders, cows came into the camp..ate my camo shirt and threw it back up. I almost didnt want to put it back on but it made a nice cover scent.

Notice the mowed grass/weeds in the pen. I also mowed a dbl wide path the last 100yds or so to my setup. No more wet feet and the deer love the path...

Here is a link to the one I recently made. Slapped it together on my lunch break. $5 invested in the pipe clamps. I just clamp it to a T post. http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...d.php?t=158987
