Humbly asking for your support!
Ok, so here is the deal, some friends of mine are putting together a Youth Weekend in early December. This weekend is geared to introduce youngsters to the great outdoors (of all types) and to a relationship with Jesus. This is the 2nd annual of this event and it was very well received last year.
Our fellow TBH'r, Curtintex, has graciously offered up his family ranch/hunting get-a-way as the host home for this event for the second time in as many years. As well as made several donations of "hunting goods."
Our supporters have been generous and giving. Give-a-ways and door prizes have been coming in steadily, and I believe every kiddo will leave with something.
Here is where I am humbly asking for your support. First and foremost we could certainly use prayer support as hearts are being prepared for an encouter with God, His people in a setting of His creation.
Secondly, we had arrangements for food, donation and preparations. However, the enemy, true to his form, has prevented this from happening. We are less than a month out and we do not have provisions for food for the weekend.
Sooooooo, we could use donations of cash or even grocery store gift cards (if you are uncomfortable making cash donations) for the purchase of food goods. I feel certain we can take care of the preparations, but hey, if an all-star cook wants to donate their talents, far be it from me to stand in the way of their ministering.
We try to keep this as a no-cost function for the kids and their parents, operating strictly on donations and support. We never want $ to be a deterrent from exposing kids to such a wonderful event.
I'll be completely up front with you, this is not an "organized-recognized non profit group." This is just a group of dad's who want to introduce as many of our kids, their friends, and other to the wonder of God and his amazing outdoors.
