my problem!

ok well this is my first yr bow hunting and so far so good, love it

the thing is its been a couple yrs sence i have last huntted , lack of a lease will do that ,,

well now i have one kill in the books for 2010 , and my son got his first ever kill , we are good on meat , could use a little more just to make sure we dont run low on slim jims you know

any how its the itch that is killing me more, i just can not get off the green screan and i am alway looking for a low cost hunt , doe hunt would love an axis doe

sometimes it feals like i need therapy !

I am there!!! I live in Houston but, hunt South of San Antonion so needless to say, I dont get to go very often. What makes it worse is that the county I hunt in has AR and is only a 2 buck county. No does during the General season. I can not get off of the green screen and cant stop watching all the hunting shows. I also do a whole lot of research on all things related to archery. I am soo bumed that I don't have a place to hunt here in Houston, so yea, your not alone!!

I am with you there... stationed in NC, they run a ton of dogs during hunting season, ruins the area... so when i do hunt, it's normally only a couple of hrs before the dogs ruin my day. I get once chance all year to go to Texas, so i take that chance in late December.

Practice all year, for only hrs of hunting... but i'll take it, cuz i love it...

i wish i could find a nice lease in west tx , with free range axis , black buck ex that would be so nice

i would love to pay for something like that but its a matter of finding one !

looking to scratch it up a bit asap !


i think the wife and i may start some 3D shoots, that may supress it

we hunted public land for yrs , started when i was about 14 or so , and it was nice 4-5 days in the woods with dad , kill or no kill it was a blast the camp fire ex

thats the one reason i want a good family lease so i can start takeing my kids , get it all started

i just miss it

payed hunts are nice but diff , not the same but maybe in the next yr or two i can get on a nice lease

yeah i have a friend that lets me hunt his small ac of land and its got a couple deer but mostly hogs , it is fun but they tend to run accross fence lines and i cant get to them

but yes i am heading out his weekend put out more corn ex maybe smack a hog if i can !
