Any of your kids go to Angelo State?

My son is thinking about going to school there. It will be 4 hours from home, but he has a friend that is also going. I saw the campus this weekend and seems real nice. Pros and cons?

I live about 10 blocks away from campus.... My brother graduated from ASU..... Good school, good town

Oldest son goes there, loves it. I graduated from there in 1982. It's a good school and getting better academically every year. Some programs are farther along than others but all are very good programs. San Angelo (we live about 4 miles out of town) is a great "big, small town". Bigger than a "small" town, but still doesn't have a lot of issues of "big cities".

Their Biology program is top notch, gets alot of kids in Med school year in and year out.

2006 grad...awesome place to go to school

My wife and I are 2007 grads. Me in Finance/Real Estate (more like hunting and fishing!!) and hers in Kinesiology. Angelo State was a great school, but now even greater under the Texas Tech system since 2008. San Angelo is my favorite city in the world and will live there again someday.
Public land hunting, lots of places to fish and overall outdoorsman's paradise...what else can I say. And my running buddy Hafernick is the duck hunting expert and can tell you that Angelo is a duck hunting mecca particularly around Twin Buttes Reservoir.

I graduated from Angelo in 2007 with a Marketing Degree. Like Harvey said it is a sportmans paradise. Good school and great town. I too hope to return to the mecca that is San Angelo.
