Yesterday morning I was sitting in my office and heard 5 shots. I should have went out after the second to pinpoint the location but really didn't expect to hear more than two. They came from either my next door neighbor or the one across the road.
Fast forward to this morning. About 30 minutes ago I looked out my back garage window across the pond and saw a buck standing there. I could see a dark disfigured spot on the inside of his right front leg. When he turned around his shoulder was just dangling and almost totally disconnected. He also had a second wound across the front of his neck. I went to get my rifle and called the GW while going there. He gave me permission to put it down as I had already killed my 13+ buck this year.
I'm making a huge assumption I understand about the 5 shots and this buck. It only makes sense though. Makes me sick to my stomach to see things like this. If a person can't control a firearm better than this, lay it down and back away. You have no business shooting at these animals.
GW told me I could keep it but not to tag. If I needed anything for processing he would give me the necessary form.
