Trying to get my wife into hunting

Im trying to get my wife into bow hunting any pointers will be appreciated

I have been trying for years... It took my oldest daughter to want to gun hunt to get my wife interested in that... She diggs gun hunting but is nowhere near ready to bow hunt, doesn't even have the slightest desire, she is afraid she will make a mistake and wound an animal... She has and shoots a bow, not religiously like most of us but she does enjoy shooting from time to time???? I got nothing to help you out... Good luck with it

I was able to get my BEST half to start shooting a bow so we could spend more time together and attend 3D shoots for fun.

I then got her to go on a hunt and she had a great time even though she did not shoot anything she did get to see some critters. We then went on a hog hunt and we did not see anything. She "quickly" lost interest in hunting but says she had a good time just wished she had seen something that she could have shot. She will still on an occasion shoot her bow with me.

My advice.......make it about spending more quality time together and not so much about hunting.

I'm also trying to get my wife into bowhunting. I do have her going to the pop-up blind from time to time so that's a start. Good luck to you. Any more ideas? Girls, have any ideas?

Start her out shooting in the back yard and then get her on some pigs.

i am allways thankfull for the time in the woods but i want her to know what the reason for staying out there hours on end is about. you know the feeling you get when you see the first deer of the day and the waiting on seeing what follows that doe that keeps looking back behind her. i mean i want her to know the rush

If you are lucky she will take to it with a passion, if not even an occasional hunt with the wife is priceless!
