It really doesn't matter what time of year it is! If you are close to a den and the sun is warm they will be out!

Killed two 18" Copperbeads on the patio Wednesday eveningwhen we leaving for chruch. My kids (7&3) were already out the door when the oldest saw the first one. Do not like the things but scared the crap out of me with my kids close to them. Seen them year round before.

Last weekend after not seeing any I was feeling pretty safe, then you go and post this....tomorrow I will be looking all over expecting one to jump out and bite me!

Thurday night about an hour after dark, I ran over a 3 footer stretched out on a county dirt road...... He wasn't moving across, he was just laying still, absorbing heat off the road I guess.
