They left out from FW this morning headed for a weekend hunt in Menard (don't know the name of the place). I have been getting updates all day from Slew. They arrived in Brady too early to eat at some BBQ place they were planning on stopping at but it put them arriving at the ranch before lunch.
Next text said they had made it and were headed to put out stands, followed later by sightings of deer and hogs and plans to head back out after grabbing a bite to eat and taking showers.
By 4:15 Slew sent a text "Doe down"
Last text I got said he had shot another, both at 20yds and with slick tricks and that txduckdog had arrowed a small buck at 15yds with a rage, and were waiting on ribeyes to grill while drinkin wine
Slew headed out with 4 arrows for a 3 day hunt and is now down to 3 after breaking one finishing off one of the does who was spined with the first shot. If anyone knows of a shop that sells Goldtips around Menard let me know and I will pass the info on
