    Gun Shop in SA?

Being new to the city, not sure where to go. I live on the north central side of town and need to buy some scope rings, have a scope mounted and bore sighted before I go get it dialed in. Any suggestions for a quality shop in San Antonio?

Best one I know of is Mcbride's here in austin, they've done work for me and they are top notch!

I live on the North side and drive to Durys on the southside. Nagels is the old school gun store on the north side but I'm really underwhelmed with their gunsmiths.

A Place to Shoot is San Antonio's premiere gun range and gun store, 72 rifle ranges, 23 pistol ranges, archery and shot gun fields

For what you want you should go to "A place to shoot" (again on the southside) on Morsund Road. they can sell you the mounts, mount it, bore sight it, and then you can fine tune on their 100/200 yard ranges at the same time.

Neither are on the north side, but worth the drive to the south side, IMO

I'd have to recommend Don's Guns at Fredericksburg Road and Loop 410 (SW corner strip mall). Also have A Place To Shoot down on the far southside by Mitchell Lake.

I'd call before you go to make sure they have the mounts you need in stock but they are probably your best bet for a turn key deal. Take your own spotting scope if you have one (that's their only flaw) but other than that they have first class benches and gun rests, especially if you are fine tuning a magnum.

Will do. I picked up a new Vortex Viper (thanks Arrowsmith!) and will be putting it on my .30-06 and also taking the girlfriend and get her comfortable with the .243 Mohawk.

X1,000 on bring your own spotting scope. You can't see worth a darn through theirs.

What`s the name of the gun shop on I-10 west close to the Alamo Cycle shop?

I`ve been in there but don`t know about a rifle range being there.
