For a full body 800-1200 depending on their work. At least thats what I have seen out here in West Texas.

Don't skin it. Wrap it in a trash bag and get as much air out of the bag as you can. Stick it in the freezer until you decide where to take it. Let the taxi do the skinning.

Bobcats are hard to get a good mount on. Most taxies end up making them look like thier eyes are bugged out and they have a very unatural look. My brother does great work on bobcats, but he is in Palestine, TX.

I was qouted anywhere from 400 to 1000 here in the Houston area a couple of years ago. Actually ended up giving it to the land owner to mount because he had never been able to get one. It was the least I could do since he allowed me to hunt there for free with his nephew several times. If you are going to freeze it before taking it somewhere then you need to wrap several parts of the cat to prevent freezer burn. Call a couple of taxis and see what they say to help preserve it.

Ok first keep It very cold and get it to the taxerdermist asap. If it's going to be a bit freeze it but only take it out once and that's it. Don't gut it. Do not wash it. Now on price and taxermist. Best way to tell a good one from a bad one is how he does a bobcat. Anybody can do a deer but the bobcat take skill. Look at his past bobcats if they look fake weird or look like it's smilling at u run. I have seen some that have made me almost sick to look at because they are done horribly and look fake. Price you get what you pay for kinda. Price ain't everything. I have 1 may wife has one and my buddy has 4. Wife and buddy went to same guy and they are some of the best I have ever seen. He is 400 or 500 can't remember. O FYI only lying or crouching mounts make them look small.

my brother has had several done. There is a guy in Duncanville, Torres Taxidermy, they do a pretty good job. His deer are not very good but cats and foxes are nice.

Dana Lampman in Bryan is one of the best predator taxi's in the business. His number is 979-776-6053 If you can't bring it to him, he can tell you where to go, what to do, and what to look for in a good taxi

I wouldn't expect to pay less than $600 for a good one.

It takes a little time to mount a good looking cat.

I had one done last year by Steve Moss, embarrassed to say but I do not remember the name of town but I am thinking Sunset? Anyway, he is just North of Denton, did a excellent job and a heck of nice guy as well. I believe it cost me around $900. I can get is info if you are interested.

Put it in the freezer and REALLY do your homework on which taxidermist you choose. Most should not even be allowed to mount cats. Figure on spending around $1000+ for a GOOD mount. A good cat taxidermist is rare...

Call Bryan (oneforthewall on tbh) He's in springtown and does great cats. He has 2-3 bobcats in there now for you to look at. He also has my mt lion and does great with them. Like chance said a good cat taxi is tough to find.

Thanks for all the good info. Most of those numbers are higher than i wanted to spend but now i have some idea about what im getting into. I am a get it done right the first time type of guy so Im going to make some calls and look at some examples before is spend that kind of cash for sure. I'll post pics of the kill when i get them and pics of the mount whenever that happens. thanks for all the help.
