Well crap
He jumped the deer after a couple of hours and the buck went onto private property north of 29. You can see a long way there and he doesn't "appear" to be hurt to bad. Although that's hard to really say.
We know that land owner and he will not let any public land hunters onto his place. Period...
Hoping it's not a gut shot and the buck makes it. Just not sure what to do now...

Might try checking with "keep" (Jim) or "keeps keeper" Jamie. They've got a young lacy that they are training and look for any opportunity to track.

Already spoken with Jim. This might be a bit to long/hard of a trail for their pup.

John said the deer ran quite a ways so he was heading into town for some stuff and then trail again after hopefully the deer lays down for a while.
