van zandt cty

anybody hunt in van zandt cty? Seen any evidence of the rut? All I've seen is doe and a couple small bucks( 6&4pt). Last sat mornin, fil saw 7 doe and that's was it. I saw a yearling doe sun evening. Haven't seen any bucks on camera. I hunt on 50ac with only bout 5ac of woods total, but I'm surrounded by lots of thick woods. Thanks in advance.

I hunt Smith (ast of you ) and I hav seen bucks chasing does and there have ben 3 bucks run over on the road within 2 miles of the house. I would say something is happening

Last week started to see bucks chasing does pretty good. It seems like it has slowed a little since it warmed up but I did see a broke up 8pt running the crap out of a doe Tues. evening while driving around and scouting.

I hunt Van Zandt cty. I haven't seen any rut action at all. As a matter of fact, the onky real deer activity was the doe my brother took opening day of archery season. I hunt north of 20 off 17. Even the hogs have disappeared.

I have several bucks running does around my house in Holly Lake. The rut has been on for a week here.
