AR guys - free float ?

anyone run a free float front end with a fixed front site post? anyone got a pic of this setup? im trying to decide if i want to float the handguard with a fixed fsp or go to a lo pro gas block on the front and add a flip up front site

Depends on what you want to do red. Personally, I'd have a free float rail/tube that extends pretty lengthy... 11-13" on a 16" barrel.

I would have a low profile flip up style buis front and rear... and if for tactical purposes (at home protection, n the truck or whatever), then use a quick detach mount for a red dot or short range optic, and then have the same style quick detach mount for a longer range hunting style scope.

These are not mine, they are a friends.

I think that is a question of which you like the look of best. Personally I like the flip up Troy BUIS on a Larue rail with the rail covering my gas block. However if the gun was going to be open sights only then I like the fixed gas block sight.

That the beauty of the AR platform - you can have it your way.

Here is my 10.5" SBR with Larue goose neck rail, NV EoTech and Magpul BUIS.
