    To hunt the Mountain Lion

    I got asked to hunt and kill appox.3 mountian lions on this hores ranch that
    I do well work for because I bow hunt.Going this week and plan my attack
    and aprouch. It's in the N.W part of Parker Co. Men and Women of the green
    screen I'm pumped.Wish me luck and I'll take any and all advice ya can give
    me.

      Are you planning on bowhunting them? I'd like my odds better with a rifle.

        You have some good dry-country dogs to put on the lion? Are you going to trap? I have called in a few and been on stand where two of those were harvested. In TX I think your best bet would be trapping.

            Thats why they ask me to do it cause I bow hunt.They don't want gun
            shot to spook the poneys and have them run stupid into a fence are ect.

                  A small caliber high speed bullet from long range will do it and not spook the horses...

                    We shot one on ranch last summer and got two more with dogs in Edwards County. Dogs are a good way to do, maybe calling in the form of a fawn in distress? How would y'all recommend trapping lions? What method?

                      Get them before they get you! That's my advice. Hunting animals where you become part of the food chain makes for an entirely different hunt than sitting around waiting on a deer!
