Should my Quad Pro rest have arrow marks?

Paint is scratch off the arrows from pulling back and the flat part of the rest facing me just below the "forks" has a bunch of marks from arrows? Does that mean it is not dropping fast enough or my arrow is dropping with it?

Patterns are great and consistent so I don't know what is going on.

I want the answer there too. Mine does the same thing but its very consistent. I used the powder foot spray the other day and had no contact on a dozen arrows. So I am baffled too.

Probably but if it aint broke dont fix it right....fool with it after season. I had same issue and it had to be served in a little lower on the bus cable

Sounds like your cable is a tiny bit too tight. Could be adjusted out some. I tinkered with mine a while before I got it perfect. Luckily, David's is right down the road

You shouldn't be getting those marks on your arrows or the rest...
1st off, do you not have the felt on the rest??? There should be a piece of felt that covers your rest to prevent noise while drawing.
2nd, lock your rest in the upright position. When you draw back, the rest should actually retract further to get into the FULL upright position before release.
If it isn't retracting farther back at full draw the rest will not fall until your fletchings knock it down. You don't want that... Might as well be shooting with a WB rest...
And you'll need to shorten the drop string that connects from the rest to the cable in order to fix that.
If it ain't broke don't fix it is usually right but in this case, if it is your fletchings that are knocking down the rest, it can tear it up on the mechanics and eventually it won't even stay up anymore... i.e. Trash....
Get it fixed or you'll end up spending some money for a new rest...

Just to let you know, the movement that you're looking for from the locked upright position and the Full upright possition during full draw is pretty small (about 3/16") but significant in order for the rest to drop during the release.

It's got to be hitting something or there wouldn't be marks. Good luck, just it doesn't fail when the big boy shows.

I had mine replaced b/c of failure. Tech found that it had a catch in it. QAD will stand behind their product. The recommend not working on the rest, send in for replacement.

should come up to full-up position in last 1 inch of your draw. Chord should be tied in atleast near the bottom of bow grip. QAD recommends atleast 3 inches below rest.
