What are some of you guys favorite AR scopes and why? I know enough about regular rifle scopes but AR's are a different breed. Thanks for any input.

Range/purpose? -
Primarily varmint hunting and nothing over 300 yds or so. But mainly looking for a low power scope. Prolly nothing over 9 power or so. Don't want to spend Trijicon ACOG kind of money but but don't mind putting nice glass on my guns.Originally posted by Luck_of_the_Draw View PostComment

I have a serious AR problem. I love them and can't quit buying them. Some have glass some have red dots some have night vision some have irons and some don't have anything at all because I can't make up my mind.
Anyway - one thing I have learned from mounting glass on flattop AR's is that the AR platform has a different relationship of the eye to the scope verses the classic bolt action rifle. The most important thing is to pick a mount system that corrects this.
There are several solutions out there but I prefer the Larue LT-104 http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetac...tail.bok?no=30 and Larue is made right here in Texas so you can't beat that.
It's money well spent.
As for a scope recommendation I like anything from Leupold or Nikon.
