Don't forget.........you might have to fight manufactures in China. They can copy and manufacture really fast and what could you do?

No wanting to discourage. If you do it............move fast!

My father invented a product and had them made to sell to the public. My first bit of advice is, if it is truly unique then you NEED to get a patent. That is the ONLY way you will really protect your idea.

Contact via PM's - Lucky - she is a patent attorney who defends patent attacks, but she can tell you who a good patent attorney is for your needs.

Then, contact KellyG - Kelly Garmon - he started with his Hawg Lite in his garage and built it up from there.

I'm sure both will be willing to help.

I invented standing in line......before I came up with that people used to just mill around.
                  Ok, ok, I really didn't.

Create your product and then go find a good "Pitch Man" and sell it for $19.99.

Dang guys, I'm worried now that my gizmo is not worthy of the fanfare!

It's not that big of a deal, but I do believe it would be found in the "gear inventory" of 99% of outdoorsman. Working on a prototype and will put together a crew of constructive critics when it is ready.

For those that have sent PM's - Thanks for the encouragement, all advice is appreciated and taken to heart

I've had a couple of ideas before. One is too much of a specialized item that would not sell very many. The other, I just don't have cash to persue. Good luck to you!

I am sure you will not have a problem finding any on here

Good luck with your product. I have thought of a few things to produce in the past but didn't really do anything with them.
