Ameristep Intimidator Matrix Ground Blind

Does anybody have any dealings with these? I know they are not Double Bull but they are more in my price range!!!

I have one and love it. It is a good blind for a fair price. Can adjust the windows to fit your needs or to open 360 like the matrix. They are a better material than the cheaper ameristep plastic like blinds. I shot a deer out of mine this year, wife and I had plenty of room to sit in together,etc..

Is it simple to set up and take down?

I'll admit... I struggle a little with the set up. Maybe I'm just not going about it right but I'm learning this as I go so I figure I'll get better with it. Taking it down is a snap - 15 seconds at the most to have it down and folded to go back in the pack.

Overall, I'm very happy with mine so far. I have a little difficulty with setup, but I've never not had difficulty with any blind.

The height of the windows is a little odd, and it's too high to shoot sitting down from a tailgaiting chair or the ground blind chair that I made from the DIY board. I'm going to solve that by building a taller chair, but I haven't gotten to that yet. Right now, I just stand up to shoot. This works fine with pigs, but it may be too much movement for deer.

It has good 360-degree viewing, and two people can sit in the big one pretty easily.

You can get the Intimidator on eBay for $199 pretty regularly.

For only $100 difference, I'd get the Matrix because I like the window system much better. The zip in floor is very nice in the Intimidator though, especially if you hunt in rattlesnake country
