ok, well after buying every lighted knock that is sold at stores I finally found a nockturnal in stock.
I tried the tracers. right out of the box wouldnt even turn on (21.99 for two). I bought some allens at academy (7.99 each). they work sometime's but I have had them turn off when they hit the target or not work 60% of the time.
I bought lumenok's (10.99 for one). seemed like they might work ok, but are very similar to the allens and have a little wire that press's against the shaft, and the carbon is supposed to close the circuit (would make sense on alluminum arrows). that one didnt even fit my arrows (4 different brands of CF's I own). it was to small.
I bought "laser eye" carbon express (forget price). only worked some of the time. never consistant.
Everyone told me to get the nockturnals (7.99 for one, 24.99 for three), but they were sold out at the stores I had gone to so tried other brands.
shoulda listened to you guys.
Well went to bass pro, and they had ONE! in stock. I grabbed it before a guy behind me could. bought it, and the dang thing hasnt failed yet. not that I shot it much, but its built almost fool proof. unless it gets wore out or the battery dies there is no reason why it wont work...
I will be buying a pack of 3 once I see them instock.
