It's not that heavy. Actually it's pretty much the middle of the road, but my old DXT was super light, and had the really short A2A which made it really nice in a ground blind. You just didn't have to worry much about where your top limb is when you shoot.

Last year I almost never took a bow to the blind. I was always letting someone else try to take their first. When I finally did take my XLR8 I raised my bow to do a test draw and hit the roof of the blind before I even tried to draw. Oops. Needed a bigger blind.

I guess I am just too old.... $900 for a bow? Then add sights, arrows, rest, etc. and you are well over $1000! I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Try not to get caught up in all the hype of the bow companies. I used to get caught up in it too, but have come to learn that if your present bow is still doing the job and you are confident in it, then there is no need to get a new bow. Of course, sometimes you really NEED a new bow. Just saying, save your money for a rainy day, hunting trip, car repairs, wife's or children's birthday, etc. Wish I had learned this years ago! Just food for thought. Good luck with whatever you decide. BTW, I still shoot my 10 year old Mathews Feathermax and have great success with it every year..

I like the specs. on the Magnum. Going to be hard for me to part with the Monster, it sure likes to eat!
But will definatley be shooting a Z7 Magnum in the very near future.
