It looks like I won the exotic safari hunt at the mason mountain WMA. I was wondering if anyone here has ever been there? And also if anyone else won a hunt?

I bow hunted there a couple of weeks ago, VERY nice place. The house you will be staying in is unbelievable, we walked around and took some pictures of it. Here is a picture of the outside.
Take a good camera, you will have lots to take pictures of. What variety of critters are you after on the hunt?Comment

They said I'll get to shoot two of the following animals: sable, gemsbok, scimitar horn oryx and axis buck. I plan on going after the sable and the gemsbok. I would like to take them with a bow, but they suggested I carry a rifle. How successful was your bow hunting experience?Comment

If Waterbucks or Sable were on the plate, I could have easily taken one. Unfortunately, I was after deer. I grunted in a nice 10, but couldn't get a shot on him. We had a blast and will definitely be putting in for there again. The TPWD guys out there are very nice and you should get a good one. Have fun!Comment
