After securing a place to hunt with just a week left in bow only season, I got to hunt this evening. I had a very hard time finding a place to hunt this season, so 40 acres right next to the interstate hwy would do just fine. Hunting next to a busy road is not exatly relaxing but I wanted to get up in a tree bad. After work I hurried to get to the lease, not knowing or even caring if I would see any deer. I did see a mature doe that came in down wind from me and as luck would have it I got winded. I got to got hunting and I saw a doe, that is more than I expected and I am happy with that! Not bad for just setting up the stand day before yesterday.
