    Which one would you shoot?

If you had a 160 class buck come into your sendero and with him stood a 200 class buck with a tag in his ear, which one would you shoot? A 150 native buck would mean more to me. just curious what you thought about it.

I wish I had to make a call like that! Probably would not shoot a tagged deer unless it had been made clear tagged deer were ok to shoot.

If either one was ok to take I would shoot the tagged defenitley (sp? I have he'll with that word!!!) if I was hunting a low fence that didn't have any tagged deer on it.

Why did you go from 160 to 150? With a bow, rifle or crossbow? Is this a high fence place? Did you bait the deer in with corn? Does either one need another year?

Tagged 200 if it was on my low fence lease.

I'm shooting the biggest one if it's in the Wild! Unless he really looks stupid and walks up to me thinking I'm going to feed him, then I would just take him home I guess.

I would shoot the 150/160 and since the tagged 200" deer would probably be pretty tame already, I would teach him to drive a car. Then I would grow a moustache and the two of us would travel around the country getting into all kinds of adventures together.

Funny you should bring this up. Happened to me. I was hunting a buddies ranch a few years ago. It is 1600ac all under one high fence. They have a breeding program and sell deer out of their pens, but only release their "culls" out with the native deer. They have good deer, but not a typical high fence place...no monsters.

I'm sitting in the tree, watching about a 130" deer at about 60 yards and cannot wait to get a shot. This was about the fifth time I'd hunted there and never gotten a shot before. I see movement out of the corner of my eye and about a 180" bruiser steps out with a big blue tag in his ear. Broadside. 15yds. I could not shoot it. I did not shoot it. I never got a shot at the other buck either.

When I got back to my buddy's house and told him what happened, he told me how that buck was a ghost and nobody ever got a shot at it. It had escaped, as a yearling, while they were loading him in a trailer to take to a client. He was now 4.5 and was too slippery to die. I could have killed him, but I just could not do it. I don't regret it, so to answer your question I know EXACTLY what I'd do.
