I have the HSS and like mine fine. Its all I have ever had so don't have anything else to compare it to. Either way you go will be a good choice if you are hunting off the ground.
I had a SOP harness until recently. I was torn between the HSS Ultra Light and the Gorilla harness. I will not wear the HSS vest type, because I am not a fan of them. I went with the HSS Ultra Light, and only have had one very minor issue. The adjustment buckles for the legs seems to be tapping each other when I walk. I think I will put some electrical tape on them, and be done with it. Other than that, I have no complaints. the gorilla seems a little excessive in the leg/buttock area, but it is padded there, so it might be better. Or it might be hotter in the warmer months?? Which ever one you choose, please be sure to wear it every time you go out.
Don't know which one is better but I'm getting the Gorilla G30 for Christmas. Not alot of reviews on it yet but I liked what I was able to find about it.
I have the HSS Pro, I like that it is easy to put on, comfortable and trust worthy, I also like the pockets, I dislike how it pouches out at the top when you sit down. API used to have a similar vest with a small buckle at the top to prevent this. None the less it is also too heavy and too hot in the summer when I'm hunting pigs. I'm thinking about going back to a basic style strap harness no vest.
