    Crazy Driving

On the way out to a hunt two weeks ago my buddy and I ran into a traffic delay about 15 miles South of Boerne. Once we go to the accident I was surprised to see a truck pulling a RV partway over the medium. As a RV hauler myself this one hit home. I don’t know what caused the accident but I do know that defensive driving is a must in the great state of Texas. I will never forget my uncle’s declaration he would make to other drivers when we were on vacation outside of Texas; I was 15 at the time, he would say “can’t ya’ll see I’m from Texas, we drive crazy get out of the way!” . Little did I know how true that was, until I started driving.

Wow.....I pull a 30 footer and I know that people don't take into account that you can't just stop on a dime or swerve around someone that does something bone headed in front of you.

I give 18 wheelers alot of room these days.

With all the wind lately, I can see how this could happen.

Looks like a clear case of a typical trailer rental... hook up to the ball and go...no load levelers, no trailer brakes... just hook up and go...
I think it should be mandatory that anyone renting trailers be required to take a course and rent the proper accessories for towing the trailers.

I do too. I also pull 30' RV and I have white-knuckled it through crazy drivers, road construction and stormy weather.

It's funny that the RV that we are planning on requires a Class B license. But they will let any one pull any size trailer with a class C.
