Scent question?

With all the talk about scents both cover and attraction. It jogged my brain about something I read 20 some years ago about using the tarsal glands from your last kill of the year and freezing them for that year or the next year.
Does anybody still use this technique?
Does anybody save and use the urine in the bladder?

I use the glands every now and then, not real sure if it works that great but I like to think it helps some.

I have done it twice, first time it spoiled and the second time I just cut off the hair of the tarsal area and used it. Worked well the second time by just using the hair and didn't have to worry about it spoiling.
