    Removing oil stains on concrete

    anyone know how???

the dipwads at the express lube jacked up my drain plug a couple months ago, and I've had a slow leak ever since. Now I got a big ol black spot on my driveway.

Took my jeep back over there 3 times, complained to managers, etc...they "fixed" it each time. Still leaked.

Took it to the dealership...$10 drain plug and SURPRISE! no more leak
Looking for a new place in town to do oil changes

anyway...back to the original question...I'd like to get as much of this up as possible. was hoping to find something to maybe eat it up a little...enzyme based?, then power wash the snot out of it.

This will work. We used to use spic and span back in the old days.

I have heard countless stories like yours from people over the years.

Years ago I went out with a girl a few times who was manager of one of those quick-lube places. She said everybody gets Pennzoil 10W-30 regardless of what they ask for, even if they bring their own oil in.

Kitty litter works good for the heavy stuff, but it won't get into the pores of the concrete. If you grind up the litter into a powder, then it will absorb most of the stain away. I've also heard that coffee creamer (powder kind) works good.

Muriatic acid will bleach the concrete. Pour it on wet concrete, brush it in, and rinse.

My neighbor had his power steering pump go south and it leaked all over his driver way. He bought the Purple Power at AutoZone and we let it soak then I brought the power washer over and it worked suprisingly well. I haven't really paid much attention as to how good it looks still because his boat is parked over it, but from what I recall, it worked good enought to make most folks happy.

                        Good luck,

                        Chris

                          muriatic acid is DEVIL JUICE!

                          aka hydrochloric acid

read before using if you have never used it before:

Toilet bowl stains run the gamut from everyday stains to tough mineral stains. Learn how to identify different types of toilet bowl stains so you can figure out the best way to get rid of them.

it will eat your skin, burn your nostrils, throat and eyes just from the fumes...turns green grass brown in a matter of a few seconds, will dissolve cast aluminum...dangerous, dangerous stuff....

Purple power works well but they also sell another version of it at auto zone, its an acid type cleaner specifically for driveways.

It works wonders after soaking it a bit.
Also if you have access to a distrubiting company for auto detailers they sell an acid to degrease semi truck frames. I used to "refurbish" semi trucks and if that acid didnt cut it nothing would!
