They do work, but they can make your pop up creak from the weight of the bow. Just some experience I have had with them. Just got to go slow when taking the bow off it.......
Never hung mine from the ceiling before, I have always used the one that stuck in the ground. Do you like the ceiling one better, If so what reasons. Could be a great new idea for me to

Haven't had a problem with the double bulls. I could see where it may be a problem with the nylon shell blinds.

The ones that stick in the ground have always been unstable for me. Plus it's right in front of my face when I need to grab it.
I have one that came with my AS Intimidator Blind that hangs from one of the truss rods. Has a small wood stick through the middle with a small hook for the bow cam and a hook that fits the truss rod on the other. I was skeptical at first thinking it would make the blind "bounce" when hanging or removing the bow. Boy, was I was wrong! Just have to move slowly, which is what one needs to do anyway .

I was using one of those last season. Apparently the rods in an Ameristep blind are larger than a db blind. I carried it to my db blind and hung up my bow. I was sitting there and all of a sudden my bow slid down the rod into the corner of the blind. Slick tricks are sharp enough to go right through the side of a blind and not slow down.
I just bought some great bow holders for my pop-ups. Go to Wal-mart in the garden section and look for some garden flag holders. They stick in the ground and are very stable. They are the perfect height for my bow too....just hang them on. Oh and they are $6.99 each.
Two of my blinds have the hangars in them but it is dead in the center of the blind.....not good for viewing and limits my space. I agree the stakes are not very good either. I just lay mine on the ground (carpet) for easy access!
I use the stake bow holder and I like them...the one that hangs from ceiling just gets in my way and Im afraid at critical moment I would "clank" against it with my bow..
