Excellent advise folks. I plan on reusing the arrow and frame the picture of the two deer I shot opening Bow morning and take the Muzzy broadheads and insert them into the wood frame.

Good info on the notch and cleaning it up. That slipped my mind. The date was a great idea too.

I killed three deer and a pig last year with the same arrow and Montec combination. It was my lucky setup until I broke it on a longhorn spike.

I always reuse my arrows. I also reuse my broadheads too. I just wash the arrow and flex test it and wash the broadhead. Put new blades in the broadhead and good to go.

I have never reused arrow. I hang them on my wall. You should see the money hanging up there. I always thought it wasn't worth the chance of something being wrong.

Now after I see most of you guys are reusing them and the fact that I am almost out of new arrows, I might pulls some off of the wall.

Does it mess up an arrow and broadhead after the kill and do you reuse them? If so what needs to be done beside sharpining it?
I reuse all the time. I once shot three different hogs from the same stand, same day, with the same arrow/BH.

Kept my first big game kill arrow. (Pronghorn).
Other than it, flex it, rinse it, and check the BH. Then back in the quiver if it's ok.

Then the same broadhead/arrow combo goes back into the quiver. I will grab a used arrow out of my quiver before a new one. The used one has some experience
Hahaha I like that "... used one has experience."

Once you have a thriving hog population you'll shoot at 'em with a sharp stick if you have to. I don't think twice about re-using arrows...heck that just means they are tuned right.
