Also worried about shoot through mesh. Should I open window completely or just shoot through the mesh. Worried this would affect arrow flight. Again, any info would help.

They say it doesn't but I haven't tried it. I pull the windows down because I get a headache looking through it.

Weather, I would not worry about as long as you have it staked out as solidly as possible - otherwise a strong wind will turn it into a camo tumbleweed. You may have to pop-out a hub or two but it will stay put. I like to leave a couple of windows open when I'm not there - I'd rather have the wind blow through it, than catch it like a sail. Cows are often the biggest problem. I've had them destroy blinds even when they are well brushed-in. I now only leave a pop-up out for an extended period after going to the trouble to build a panel pen around it. It's more work, but the pop up will be there when you get back. Also, the panels are handy for attaching brush for concealment.

Some really nice jobs on brushing in some of those in, others are missing a branch or two. Most of the time we brush outs in to keep the two legged critters from finding them, deer don't seem to care.

I will be going to set up mine in a couple weeks and then hunt out of it a week later for Thanksgiving. After that it will be at least three weeks before I can hunt out of it again. We found it worthwhile to drive in some T posts next to our ground blinds and tie the blind to them. Or use big zip ties which work great. Eliminates the problem of the wind using them for bowling balls.

I have hunted out of one the same day as putting it up but I try to avoid it just in case I stirred the area up.
