New bow from G5

I am one those guys that buys a new bow every year and I had been looking for a bow to get my hands on...something that felt perfect. I looked at all the major brands first like Bowtech and Mathews. I even shot Hoyt and Bear. Let me tell you something......
I judged everything from Draw Cycle, Anchor (Draw stop), Vibration, accuracy, and speed.
I was really impressed with Bowtech's Destroyer...I mean...if you buy a bow hunting magazine, its on every freakin page (exageration). Draw cycle was smooth and like always...when realeasing...it feels like a **** gun going off!!! I have always bought bowtech bows (so I am not being biased). I've owned the Tech29, Patriot, General, 82nd, Air Raid, and the Kryptik Pro (a Diamond made Basspro bow).
Then I had to try the new Mathews Z7...which in my opinion..is a beefed up Reezen. Another smooth draw, dead shot bow with a tad off the speed from the Bowtech Destroyer. But still....like the Reezen!!!
Then ...off to a Bear Attack. I was impressed! Smooth draw, good back stop, but a tad harsh than the Z7 on release but nothing like the Destroyer.
The Hoyt AlphaMax 31...well,..a good bow all in all!!! Everything that the Z7 and Destroyer had...probably better, ...but not as fast.
Now...all these bows are pretty much in the 31-32 ATA range...because I hunt alot of ground blinds in South Texas on day leases.
THEN CAME the G5......
Man!!!! The Draw was BUTTER!!!!!!!!...I mean BUTTER...I was shooting a 70 lbs. Primal and it felt like 60. The draw stop was solid and it didnt feel it was ready to jump out of your hands either...like the Destroyer and Z7. Shooting and realease was dead SOLID...I didnt feel any vibration at ALL!!! If you have ever shot a Bowtech General....thats how this bow felt like. And the speed...well, it was amazing for how smooth the draw was.
************************
Now...I ordered mine through Basspro...it came in and I should be ready to start sighting in the bow here in a couple of days (waiting for my days off to hurry up and get here!!).
I got an email from Bowtech marketing....something about a teaser trailer for their new supposed bow thats coming out called the ASSASSIN. Well, Ive seen all three parts on Youtube and paused it when the guy in the hoody shows the bow off at full draw.
Well, I noticed something. If you pause the video when the guy is at full draw (I think its on Teaser 2) the bow shape and countour looks like the G5 Primal!!! No kidding PEOPLE!!! The came design looks like the cam design on the Primal bow at full draw. I did a little searching on the Web to find out that its gonna be around 32" ATA with a FPS rating of about 330...with a smooth draw. GO FIGURE!!!!!!!!!

Quest Primal
I currently shoot the Quest Primal and the Heat... Same bow, but a Solo-cam. I love them both. The only thing that bothers me is the cam lean that the Primal has when at full draw, but other than that I have no comlaints. At 70 lbs. and a 29" Draw lenght I am hitting 302 fps, I have it set at 65 lbs. for comfort and i'm still getting 286 fps. out of it. The Heat by Quest is just as accurate, smooth and as fast. and I might add... The G-Fade finish is sooo sweet.
I am really looking forward to shooting the Prime, I hope the fixed the whole Cam-lean problem... if so, I will be adding it to my collection!
As long as Quest keeps producing Bows of the quality and caliber that i am seeing out of them, I will be a customer for life.

Im still pretty new to bow hunting/shooting and my parents and the fellas at Triple Edge set me up with the G5 hammer for my starter bow. It may be the lowest on the totem pole that G5 offers but its still a sweet bow. I have friends with hoyts alphamaxes and maxxis and one has a Z7 theyve all shot mine and are highly impressed. Iv shot the Heat and Primal just to see the difference and Im a fan of the whole G5 line of bows.
